Preview

It will be a 'Royal' battle when Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Rajasthan Royals (RCB) meet each other for the second time in IPL 2022 in Match 39. The last time the two teams met, it was RCB who came out on top. But the situation is a bit different now. RR are on a winning spree while RCB are coming on the back of a humiliating loss to SRH. So, it will be interesting to see if RCB are able to redeem themselves or will RR continue their dominance in the tournament.

Pitch Report

The MCA Stadium pitch is known to aid the batters and IPL 2022 has been no different. The average first innings score is 177. Neither the spinners nor the pacers have found any help and the story is expected to remain the same when both teams meet on Tuesday evening.

Team Analysis

Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have a nick of producing a really bad performance out of nowhere and their game against SRH was one example. The team which looked flawless in the first half of IPL 2022 is suddenly looking for redemption. The biggest worry for RCB is the form of its top order, especially Virat Kohli. The batter has not performed at all in this season. Apart from Kohli, Anuj Rawat has also failed continuously. In every game, it seems the batting starts with Glenn Maxwell. There are no worries in bowling though. The RCB management may be tempted to try Mahipal Lomror in place of Anuj Rawat.

SportsTiger Playing XI of RCB

Mahipal Lomror, Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudesai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj

Rajasthan Royals:

The Sanju Samson-led team has been in top form this season, especially Jos Buttler. The opening batter is repeatedly putting up top performances which have also helped his team put enough runs on the board. Apart from Buttler, Sanju Samson, Shimron Hetmyer, and Devdutt Padikkal have been also chipping in. The bowling department also looks fine with Yuzvendra Chahal leading the attack. So, they are expected to go with the same eleven.

SportsTiger Playing XI of RR

Jos Buttler, Devdutt Padikkal, Sanju Samson (c & wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Karun Nair, Riyan Parag, R Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy, Yuzvendra Chahal

Match Prediction

Conclusion

RR have looked flawless this season and so they will be the favorites when RCB and RR lock horns on Tuesday evening.
