While it was a clinical performance from the Rajasthan Royals in their first match of IPL 2022 against SunRisers Hyderabad, Nathan Coulter-Nile personally had a bad day. Neither was the Australian successful in picking up a wicket in his 3 overs which went for 48 runs but just before the conclusion of the match, he even sustained an injury that forced him to leave the ground as he could not complete his over.

Later, part-time spinner Riyan Parag had to complete the last over of the match which was started by Coulter-Nile with a no-ball. Immediately after the ball, Coulter-Nile held his leg which suggests this could be a problem with his calf muscle.

Since RR were in a comfortable position, it did not impact the result of the match much as the Men in Pink registered a comfortable 61-runs victory in the first match at the MCA Stadium in Pune this season. Given the quick turnaround nature of this tournament, the pacer is unlikely to feature in the next match against Mumbai, although an official confirmation is awaited.
