Gujarat Titans have continued their winning streak in IPL 2022, by defeating PBKS in a last-ball thriller. Gujarat skipper Hardik Pandya winning the toss as expected invited Punjab to bat first and they posted a humongous total of 189/9 on board with the help of electrifying knock from 64(27) from Liam Livingstone and crucial 10th wicket partnership between Rahul Chahar and Arshdeep Singh. Jitesh Sharma also played a good cameo of 23 runs in his short stay. Rashid Khan was pick of the bowlers for Gujarat as once again he stunned with his impressive bowling performance of 3/22 and picked the key wicket of Livingstone. Shikhar Dhawan also played a key role for Punjab with bat but couldn't convert it big in terms of S.R or runs.

Gujarat Titans in the chase were looking pretty good as Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan was playing a flamboyant innings to help his team chase a herculean task of 190 runs in the 2nd innings. The 20-year-old youngster impressed everyone with his strong batting technique in his debut IPL game itself and ended up scoring 35 runs. Skipper Hardik Pandya smashed a brilliant 27 before getting out in an unfortunate manner while the player of the match Shubman Gill had all shots in his book and scored a sensational 96 with bat which set the platform for his team to win easily. In the death overs Punjab came back into the match as required run rate kept increasing but unexpected performance from Rahul Tewatia sealed the game for Gujarat from nowhere. When 12 runs was needed off last two balls for victory, Tewatia smashed two consecutive sixes off Odean Smith to finish off the things in style.
