RCB after failing to defend 205 runs against Punjab Kings will be facing Kolkata at the same venue DY Patil Stadium on 30th of March. KKR started their IPL 2022 campaign on a positive note by defeating CSK with 9 balls to spare (6 wicket win) at Wankhede in the IPL 2022 opener. RCB will be hoping to make use of their bowling resources properly, especially Siraj who has been brilliant against KKR in the last 2 IPL seasons and along with him Harshal Patel is expected to provide adequate support in death overs.

Kolkata players like Sunil Narine and Andre Russell have performed very well against RCB in past seasons (till 2019) while Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer could also be a real threat for the Bangalore bowling attack. It will be interesting to see whether mystery spinners like Varun Chakravarthy and Wanindu Hasaranga (for RCB) get to perform well in this track and help their team get those 2 important points. Umesh Yadav who won MoM award in IPL opener could also play a crucial role by playing against his former team RCB.
