The ninth match of the 2022 IPL will see the five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians take on the inaugural champions Rajasthan Royals. Both teams will be playing their second match of the tournament at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The MI-RR rivalry has seen incredible games throughout the history of IPL and fans would be hoping to have a classic on Saturday.
The Mumbai Indians lost their first match against the Delhi Capitals by four wickets. Lalit Yadav and Axar Patel had an incredible 75-run partnership to win the game for the Capitals. Whereas the Rajasthan Royals won against Sunrisers Hyderabad with 61 runs. RR captain Sanju Samson scored 55 of 27 balls and was adjudged the Player of the Match award.
