Delhi Capitals defeated Punjab Kings by 15 runs in a high-scoring thriller and spoiled Punjab's chance of qualifying for the playoffs in IPL 2023. Delhi Capitals posted 213/2 in 20 overs with the help of an aggressive knock of 82 runs from Rilee Rossouw and a fifty from Prithvi Shaw. DC skipper David Warner scored 46 runs, and Phil Salt also played a beautiful cameo at the end of the innings.

Punjab Kings struggled to chase the total in the second innings as they lost their skipper Shikhar Dhawan for a duck initially with the score reading 0/1 (1), but Liam Livingstone's stunning knock of 98 runs from 48 balls gave life to this game as he single-handedly fought for the Punjab side. Punjab failed to chase this total as Livingstone got no support from batters at the other end.
