It’s that time of the year when Indian Premier League franchises have started to announce the names of the players they wanted to retain before the IPL 2024 auction. The two-time IPL trophy winners Kolkata Knight Riders are also looking to strengthen their squad by retaining their key players to end the IPL trophy drought.

The Kolkata-based franchise appointed Nitish Rana as their captain in the absence of Shreyas Iyer in 2023.
