Five-time Indian Premier League champions Mumbai Indians enter the 2024 IPL mini-auction after an incredible season as the team finished third with a defeat in the eliminator against the Gujarat Titans. Despite the defeat, Mumbai made massive improvement after finishing last in the 2022 season.

Before the auction, Mumbai Indians are set to complete the biggest trade in IPL history which brings in Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya in an all-cash deal. The deal could be pivotal as MI will be paying Pandya's fee of INR 15 crore which will certainly alter their auction plans on December 19. Further talking about the auction purse, the five-time champs have the smallest purse at INR 0.05 crore (USD 0.006 million).
