In match number 52 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will take on five-time champions, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday, May 3. However, both teams are coming off contrasting season thus far, MS Dhoni-led CSK became the first franchise to get eliminated from the ongoing edition after registering eight losses from 10 games.
However, CSK will play for the pride, the Rajat Patidar-led RCB will be fighting to consolidate their position in the top four. The Bengaluru-based franchise, who are currently placed third in the standings, have won seven matches from 10 games and are in the race of the final four with 14 points under their belt.

Talking about the weather for the upcoming match between RCB and CSK at the M. Chinnswamy Stadium, it is expected to be mostly cloudy with temperature hitting 21°C, according to the listings on Accuweather. The probability of precipitation on Saturday, May 3 stands 55% with chances of thunderstorm also expected around 33%, indictaing a huge threat of rain in the contest.
During the upcoming IPL 2025 fixture in Bengaluru, there will be wind gusts of around 26 km/h in the late evening, which could help in taking the rain showers away from the venue. If not, then fans could expect some interuptions in play at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in benaglurur on Saturday night.
