The preparations have already started for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in 2026. The 19th edition of the cash-rich league is expected to be a bigger one and might bring so many surprises for the fans. The IPL 2025 turned out to be memorable for some of the young aspiring cricketers who impressed everyone with their performance and showed high hopes for the future. Most of the franchises gave a chance to some talented uncapped players who turned out to be star performers in the 18th edition of the IPL and can become big stars in the future.
Apart from that, there were also some senior uncapped players who come with high hopes but couldn’t make much impact in the season. Now, as several rumours of players trade are coming ahead of IPL 2026 auction, some uncapped players can also be traded to different franchises in the next season.
Here’s a look at the top five uncapped players who could be traded ahead of the IPL 2026 auction:
1. Ashutosh Sharma: Trade from DC to PBKS

Ashutosh Sharma was picked by Delhi Capitals for INR 3.8 crore in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. Before that, Ashutosh was part of Punjab Kings squad in IPL 2024. The right-hander had a flying start to his campaign in IPL 2025 playing a match-winning knock of 66* runs in DC’s first match of the season. Apart from that, Ashutosh couldn’t do anything in the season and used to come to bat at lower positions. Now, DC are likely to trade him ahead of IPL 2026 auction and PBKS might show interest to get him back in their squad for the 19th edition.

Rawat also had a good season with the bat in last year’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but didn’t get to play a single for GT in IPL 2025. Now, ahead of the next IPL auction, GT might trade Rawat with RCB and Delhi Capitals might be two teams who could show interest in him.
3. Sameer Rizvi: Trade from DC to GT, LSG

Young wicketkeeper Sameer Rizvi was being looked at as a promising player after Delhi Capitals bought him for INR 95 Lakh in the mega auction last year. However, he didn’t get much chances in the season but still tried to give his best, amassing 121 runs in five matches at an average of 40.33 and a strike rate of 153.16. He is likely to get traded by DC ahead of IPL 2026 auction and franchises like Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants might go for him.
