With a boasting 42.6 million subscribers on YouTube and a global reputation for his energetic soccer fandom, IShowSpeed’s presence at the Major League Soccer All-Star week made the atmosphere of Q1 Stadium electrifying. A viral moment of IShowSpeed during the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge has set the social media ablaze. The MLS All-Star Skills Challenge, designed to engage younger audiences, featured events like the Shooting and Touch Challenges, where Speed’s presence added a unique draw. His involvement underscores MLS’s push to blend soccer with mainstream entertainment, targeting Gen Z fans.

In a video getting viral on social media, IShowSpeed was seen teaching USMNT and Real Salt Lake star Diego Luna a new goal celebration. The viral moment, captured during the MLS All-Star Skills Challenge on July 22, added a dose of pop culture flair to the highly anticipated MLS All-Star Game against Liga MX All-Stars on July 23. During a lighthearted interaction, Speed shared a unique dance celebration with Luna, the 21-year-old attacking midfielder who has emerged as a USMNT hero after scoring three goals in the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup. Luna, sporting his signature bleached hair and tattoos, embraced the moment, promising to unleash the “Speed-inspired” dance if he scores in the All-Star Game or his next MLS match with Real Salt Lake. “It was cool,” Luna said in a post-event interview.

Diego Luna is the first Real Salt Lake player in a decade to earn consecutive All-Star nods.

Known for his obsession with Cristiano Ronaldo and viral antics, IShowSpeed had his moment with Luna. While talking about Speed he said, “Speed’s someone you watch online, and meeting him in person, he’s just a regular guy, super nice. He showed me this little dance, and I’m definitely bringing it out when I score next.” The celebration, described as a high-energy mix of spins and gestures, has already sparked excitement among fans, with clips circulating widely across many platforms.

Diego Luna’s participation in the All-Star Week comes on the heels of his breakout Gold Cup performance, where he scored a brace in a 2-1 semifinal win over Guatemala, earning praise from USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino for his “desperate” passion. Named to the MLS All-Star roster alongside global icon Lionel Messi, Luna is the first Real Salt Lake player in a decade to earn consecutive All-Star nods. His journey, from a broken nose in a January friendly to becoming a national team talisman has made him a fan favorite, and his interaction with Speed only amplifies his growing star power.
