The contest witnessed the brilliance of veteran Lionel Messi, who showcased his mettle and played a notable role in the triumph. The 38-year-old racked up two goals in the match and guided Miami to a convincing 5-1 win. In the 14th minute, Red Bulls started strongly against Miami as Germany’s centre-back Alexander Hack scored the opening goal. Hack’s goal triggered Miami and they displayed their ferocious side thereafter.
In the 24th minute, Jordi Alba stepped up for Inter Miami and racked up a goal to level the scores. After three minutes, Telasco Segovia also scored for Miami in the 27th minute. Amidst Miami’s superb comeback in the match, an eye-grabbing incident happened. In the second-half of the match, the pitch invader was also seen interrupting the match. The security personnel broke into the scene and took him away from the playing area.

In the second-half of the match, Inter Miami took the game far away from Red Bulls as their star player Messi scored for them in the 60th and 75th minutes of the contest. After the referee’s whistle, the game ended in 5-1 figures. It was Miami’s maiden win after their five-match winning streak shattered in Cincinnati on July 17.
This was Miami’s 12th win in the tournament after 21 outings. Miami have hoarded 41 points so far in the competition and they are currently holding the fifth spot on the points tally. Their next clash will be against Cincinnati at Chase Stadium. As hosts, Miami will strive to avenge their previous defeat which came against Cincinnati on July 17.
