Star players across teams are joining their respective franchises to kick-start their training ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Kolkata Knight Riders star batter Rinku Singh recently joined his IPL franchise and a video of him travelling with former Indian cricketer Abhishek Nayar and KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit has gone viral, where he claimed to lift the IPL trophy this season.
In a viral video on social media, Rinku Singh introduced himself, Abhishek Nayar, and Chandrakant Pandit, and made a bold claim. Rinku said, "Hello everyone, main Rinku Singh or ye humare Abhishek (Nayar) sir or Chandu (Chandrakant Pandit) sir. Hum baith chuke hai flight mein or hum aa rahe hai Kolkata.
"Hum bhot excited hai aane k liye, or puri taiyaari hai is saal or hum iss saal trophy uthayenge." (Hello everyone, I am Rinku Singh and he is Abhishek sir and Chandu sir. We are on the flight to Kolkata. We are very excited and fully prepared for this year and will lift the trophy this season.)

Gautam Gambhir receives warm reception at Kolkata airport
Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has joined his former IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders for the IPL 2024. On Thursday, the 2011 World Cup winner was spotted arriving in Kolkata and the fans emerged in huge numbers to have a glimpse of Gambhir. The fans at the Kolkata airport chanted, "GG, GG", Gautam Gambhir's nickname.

Notable, Gambhir joined KKR in 2011 and played seven seasons in Kolkata, helping the franchise to win their two IPL titles in 2012 and 2014. Gambhir joined Delhi Capitals in 2018 for his last season in the IPL. After seven years, Gambhir joined Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan-owned KKR as a mentor.
