Formula 1 side Red Bull has claimed Honda’s departure to be a loss for the entire F1 circuit. Their remarks come as the Japanese manufacturer is seeking an exit in 2022. If they don’t have a change of heart, it will imply Red Bull will be losing their power unit supplier- Honda- since they will be leaving.

Not only is this Honda’s last season but they have even given Red Bull a powerful engine which seems to be working well for them and has put them in the frontline in the world championship this year.

They have been a great partner for us to work with: Christian Horner

"It will be tremendously sad to see them leave at the end of the year. They have been a great partner for us to work with, they have been supportive as they have set up our Red Bull Powertrains," Christian Horner, Team Principal of the Red Bull racing team, was quoted as saying.

"We have obviously utilised their technology moving forward but it has been a great relationship and we will be sad to see them leave F1. I think it will be a loss for F1 at the end of the year," he added.

Post the announcement of Honda’s exit from F1, Red Bull strived hard for engine freeze which would allow them to use their engine till 2025.

Meanwhile, Honda formed a great partnership with Red Bull in the last three years and have given the word that they would leave only after giving them all they have to offer.
