As Virat Kohli is retired from international cricket, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru fans are planning to give him a tribute on a wonderful red-ball career during the IPL 2025 clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on May 17. The fans are planning to don white jerseys and turn the whole stadium in whites to give Kohli a much-deserved farewell in Tests during an IPL game.

Renowned cricket journalist and commentator Harsha Bhogle also reacted to RCB fans planning to give Virat Kohli a tribute on his remarkable Test career. He further also added jokingly that it could be difficult to find the white ball if it lands on the stands.

“Hey @RCBTweets fans, are you planning to turn up in white for the game on the 17th? Remember seeing a post suggesting that. It will be incredible and a sight for the ages if true and if you can pull it off,” Bhogle wrote on his X.

“Only danger is that picking the ball in a white backdrop will become very difficult,” he further replied to his X post.

RCB players assemble ahead of IPL 2025 resumption

As IPL 2025 is set to resume after short a break, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take on Kolkata Knight Riders at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on May 17. Ahead of the clash, the RCB players arrived in Bengaluru and started practicing for the remainder of the season. Skipper Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, Jitesh Sharma, Tim David, Romario Shephard, Phil Salt, Jacob Bethell, Liam Livingstone, Krunal Pandya and other key played have already arrived at the RCB camp.

The ongoing season of IPL 2025 was suspended for one week on May 9 due to the tensions between India and Pakistan at the border. However, after the ceasefire was announced the BCCI came up with a new schedule for the remaining 17 matches of the season starting on May 17. The final is now scheduled to played on June 3.
