India are having a great fight on the final day of the fourth Test against England at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. After trailing by 311 runs in the first innings, the visitors are now in a lead in the second innings as England look to win the game on the fifth day. After England posted 669 runs in the first innings, India had a disastrous start in the second innings on day four as both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sai Sudharsan went back to the pavilion without any run on board.

After that, skipper Shubman Gill and KL Rahul took charge of the innings as the duo batted for the rest of the day and the starting of day five to help India make a comeback. However, within the first hour of day five, Rahul got out after scoring 90(230) runs, while Gill went on to complete his fourth hundred of the series and got before lunch after a captain’s knock of 103(238) runs. After India were 222/4 still trailing by 89 runs, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar took charge of the innings.

Taking the innings further after 222/4, Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar showed a great fight and added more than 100 runs for the fifth wicket. Sundar was the first to complete his fifty while Jadeja also brought his sword after reaching the milestone as India took a lead against England on day five. India were at 322/4 before the end of the second session with Jadeja (53*) and Sundar (57*) still at the crease.
