Gujarat Titans (GT) delivered a commanding performance to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 38 runs in Match 51 of the IPL 2025, held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Batting first, GT posted a mammoth total of 224/6, led by a sensational knock from captain Shubman Gill, who smashed 76 off just 38 balls with clean stroke play and aggressive intent. He was well supported by Jos Buttler, who added 64 runs off 37 balls, as the duo stitched a powerful partnership that set the tone for the innings. Despite a late fightback by Jaydev Unadkat, who picked up 3 wickets including two in the final over, GT finished strong.
In response, SRH began their chase with promise, thanks to a brisk opening partnership from Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma. However, GT’s bowlers tightened the screws in the middle overs, applying pressure and picking up timely wickets. SRH struggled to keep up with the steep asking rate, eventually finishing on 186/6 in 20 overs. Nitish Reddy and Pat Cummins remained unbeaten but couldn't turn the game around.
