The sixteen-time World Champion, John Cena is all set to return at WWE Super Smackdown at the Madison Square Garden to lock horns against Roman Reigns, who has got the better of Cena on two occasions- 2017 No Mercy and 2021 Summerslam. John Cena was scheduled to partner with Rey Mysterio and his son Dominik. However, as per the recent reports of PWInsider, there has been a change of plans.

Now John Cena is being reported to partner with 'The Street Profits' to battle along with Roman Reigns, Jimmy and Jey Uso. Apart from him, the Rated-R Superstar, Edge will also return at MSG to lock horns against Seth Rollins in a mouth-watering clash. It remains to be seen whether or not this would be his last match?

“Local advertising tonight during Monday Night Raw lists John Cena as teaming with The Street Profits against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & WWE Smackdown Tag Team Champions The Usos in the main event of this Friday’s WWE Super Smackdown taping at Madison Square Garden in NYC. Cena was initially advertised as teaming with Rey and Dominik Mysterio. MSG’s official website has also be updated to reflect The Street Profits’ appearance in the match.”

Talking about the women’s match ups, Smackdown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch will face Bianca Belair. This match will probably be a dark match. Both these fighters will have a contract signing on Smackdown to confirm their match for the Extreme Rules PPV which will take place later this month.

Having said that, there is some exciting news for fight fans as the last veteran fighter to make his much awaited return would be the most ruthless Brock Lesnar. He would be returning to Smackdown this week itself, after Paul Heyman’s announcement last week. It is being reported that Lesnar would confront Reigns for the event.

WWE Superstars like Bobby Lashley, Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair and the highly energetic Drew McIntyre are also advertised for the ultimate show.
