England cricketer Jos Buttler, on Sunday, welcomed his second child into the world. The English cricketer and his wife Louise Buttler have named their baby “Maggie”. Louis shared the pictures of their new child on her Instagram page LB Pilates. Maggie is their second daughter as they already have a 2-year-old daughter, Georgie. IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, for whom Buttler plays, congratulated the couple on the birth of their second child and also shared a couple of pictures.

Buttler to miss the second phase of IPL

As the English cricketer is on his paternity leave, he will not take part in the second phase of IPL 2021 that is scheduled to take place in the UAE from September 19 to October 15. Buttler also did not take part in the ongoing fourth Test between India and England and is all set to miss the next game as well. Apart from Buttler, his countrymen Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer will also miss the remainder of IPL 2021. Stokes has taken an indefinite break from all forms of cricket, prioritizing his mental health, while Archer is recovering from an elbow injury. Rajasthan Royals have, however, signed the replacements for these three English players. Evin Lewis, Oshane Thomas, and Tabraiz Shamsi have been roped in as the replacements.

Buttler was performing well for RR at the top of the order during the first phase. He even scored a century against Mumbai Indians. However, in his absence, Evin Lewis or Liam Livingstone can partner with Yashaswi Jaiswal in the remaining of the matches. RR are currently seated at the fifth position with six points from seven games on the points table. They will lock horns with Punjab Kings in the first game of the second leg on 21 September.
