Sharing a picture from one of the venues of the tournament in which Pietersen could be seen wearing a shirt drenched in sweat highlighting the heat and humidity in the Middle East Country, he captioned the post, "Caption this from now?"

While the South Africa-born individual's comment section quickly got filled with hilarious comments, one comment that stood out was from SunRisers Hyderabad wicketkeeper batter Sreevats Goswami as he wrote, Forgot to give your shirt for laundry." However, Pietersen decided to give it back to Goswami. The 41-year-old, who likes a bit of a banter responded, "@sreevatsgoswami mate! If your team was here, I wouldn't have bothered sweating so much to talk about them. I would have left," he replied.
