Star India batter Virat Kohli hogged the limelight on Day 2 of the ongoing pink-ball Test at the Adelaide Oval. However, Kohli did not have the best outing with the bat in the two India innings, he was seen bringing in his usual self. For the first time, a glimpse of Kohli shushing the Adelaide crowd went virat soon after Marnus Labuschagne’s wicket, the 36-year-old was also seen confronting with the on-field umpire.
In the video going viral on social media, the incident took place in the second last over before Tea on Day 2 when Mitchell Marsh survived a controversial DRS call. Marsh however stepped out to defend a ball from R Ashwin, the on-field umpire didn’t signal out, forcing the Indian team to take a referral. With the bat being close to the pad at the point of contact, the third umpire failed to overturn the decision due to “no conclusive evidence”.

This not only led the members of the Indian team fume in anger, batting stalwart Virat Kohli also went upto the umpire to argue with him, comparing it to the one of KL Rahul from the opening Test in Perth. “KL’s was the same in Perth. One on the pad and one on the spikes,” Kohli said, as recorded on the stump mic.

However, soon after Tea break, Mitchell Marsh had to depart in a similar kind of dismissal after stitching a 40-run partnership with Travis Head for the fifth wicket. The snickometer showed no spike to conclude that there was an edge, but the umpire this time raised his finger and Marsh had to walk off.
Speaking of the second BGT Test, India bundled out Australia at 337 runs with the hosts posting a healthy lead of 157 runs in their first innings. However, a some quick knocks, helped India put 128/5 with Nitish Kumar Reddy (15) and Rishabh Pant (28) in the middle as they trailed Australia by 29 runs at Stumps on Day 2.
