Kush Maini, an Indian racing driver, competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for DAMS as part of the Alpine Academy, and serves as a reserve driver in Formula One for Alpine. Kush Maini has previously competed in Formula 4, the Formula Renault Eurocup, the FIA World Endurance Championship, the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, and FIA Formula 3. Maini, an Alpine Academy member, recently created history by becoming the first Indian driver to win the Formula 2 race, achieving this milestone at Monaco Grand Prix sprint race.
Kush Maini will be eager to make a mark again with Mahindra Racing in the Formula E, a motor racing team based in England, competing with an Indian racing license. Mahindra Racing signed the likes of Kush Maini, when the Indian joined the team to participate in the last season’s rookie test in Berlin and was Mahindra’s official reserve driver in the season 10 of Formula E in 2023-24. Then in 2025, Mahindra again selected Maini for the rookie practice session at the Diriyah E Prix, in which he topped the time sheets.
Kush Maini will participate for Mahindra Racing alongside F2 racer Dino Beganovic
Maini will be joined by the 24-year-old Swedish rising star Dino Beganovic, a race winner in the FIA Formula 3 Championship, finishing sixth in both seasons he competed in 2023 and 2024 with Prema Racing. The Swedish international is 10th in the Formula 2 standings with two podiums and competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for Hitech TGR as part of the Ferrari Driver Academy.
While speaking about Dino Beganovic, the CEO of Mahindra Racing Fred Bertrand stated, “When analysing our options for the Rookie Test in Berlin, Dino quickly emerged as a front-runner for one of the seats." As per reports, Dino Beganovic is one of the few active F2 drivers to be handed a seat for the rookie test with names like Kush Maini, Gabriele Mini, Alex Dunne and Jak Crawford all set to appear in Berlin.
