LeBron James scored 28 points in his 37 minutes of appearance and surpassed the Hall of Famer and former Utah Jazz great, Karl Malone for most 20-point games in the history of the NBA regular season. Karl Malone registered a total of 36,928 points in his careers and King James surpassed him with his 1135th 20-point game against the Timberwolves.

Apart from LeBron James, Kevin Durant and CarMelo Anthony are the only active players in the list of top 10 NBA players to register most 20-point games in regular season history. While Kevin Durant is placed at the eighth spot with 804 games, Anthony is at ninth place with 796 games.
The kid from Akron, LeBron achieved the feat in the starting minutes of the fourth quarter against the Timberwolves when the hosts are at a lead of four points. Lakers faced another defeat in the NBA 2022-23 campaign as they played without Anthony Davis against the Wolves.
