The star forward of the Los Angeles Lakers, Jarred Vanderbilt has been called out on social media for returning back $2000 worth of clothes after wearing them for Game 1 of the NBA Western Conference semi-final against the Golden State Warriors. As per the reports, he was seen in the outfit in the tunnel during the pre-game buildup and afterward in the post-game as well.

It was a store employee of an unknown brand who made the allegation on Vanderbilt with a caption on Instagram, which read, “Nice guy, but… Bought 2K worth of clothes Monday, this outfit specially. Wore it to tunnel and post-game Tuesday then returned it yesterday. I wasn’t at the store and someone took the return, lord knows why.. Obviously used clothing. Mayn if I didn’t have the reason to hate the Lakers and root for home turf now I have more reason. Boooooo @jvando_ ya bum."

Notably, the 24-year-old has a $4.4 million a year contract with Los Angeles Lakers, so these allegations against him are massive and it can hurt his reputation among the fans quite considerably. Furthermore, Vanderbilt hasn’t responded to being called out on social media, which isn’t doing any favors to his stature either.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Lakers won Game 1 of the Western Conference semi-final against the Golden State Warriors by a 117-112 margin away at the Chase Center in San Francisco. They lost Game 2 at the same venue by a massive difference of 127-100, only to strike back in Game 3 with a huge 127-97 win after returning home at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Game 4 will be played on Monday night at the Crypto.com Arena, a victory here will give them an enormous 3-1 lead in the Western Conference semi-final.
