Lando Norris, the McLaren F1 driver, has become a victim of a robbery in Marbella, Spain, days before the Austrian GP kicks-off in Spielberg. The thieves targeted the villa the 23-year-old was staying at, although he wasn’t around when the incident had happened.
It has been reported that Lando Norris was together at the villa in Marbella with a group of friends, including Jennie Dimova, the girlfriend of his fellow driver Max Fewtrell. She has also confirmed the occurrence of the robbery by posting a video on her TikTok account in the immediate aftermath.
In her scathing rant, Dimova was quoted as saying, “If you're wondering why I look like that, it's because our villa got robbed. And everything I've ever owned, my bags, my clothes, my shoes, my jewellery, everything is f*****g taken. I’m left with literally nothing after collecting this stuff for f******g years. So, you know what? I mean, I cried for like two hours but, what can I f*****g do?”
Ahead of the Austrian GP, the Belgian-British racing driver talked about the robbery with a news agency called PA. He said, “We were out for dinner and our place got robbed. A mixture of many things were stolen. Some were expensive and some were not so expensive. It is still an ongoing investigation so I cannot say too much.”
Notably, just two years ago, Lando Norris was targeted by thieves for his specially designed Richard Mille RM 67-02 watch. The 23-year-old was reportedly put into a headlock by someone before stealing his watch.
The incident happened when he was walking towards his McLaren GT after attending the UEFA Euro 2020 final at the Wembley Stadium in London. Luckily, Norris was left unharmed, but in the immediate aftermath, he was understandably shaken by what had transpired.
