Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James inscribed his shoes with ‘LAFD’ as a tribute to LA Fire Department for their effortless and tireless efforts amid the raging wildfire in the city from the last few days. Notably, the LA Lakers played their first match since the chaos against San Antonio Spurs at Crypto.com Arena on January 14. The match was postponed for the obvious safety during the LA wildfires. 

Amid the chaos, LeBron James also took a part in paying homage to the workers of the Los Angeles fire department for their continuous efforts to save lives of people. The 40-year-old wore a special colorway of this LeBron 22 sneakers. The shoes came with a colour pattern of yellow, red and white color palette with LAFD written on the big yellow palette. The LeBron 22 is a recent model of the LA Lakers star associated with a popular show brand Nike. 

On This Day: LeBron achieved 38000 career points in 2023

On January 15, 2023, LeBron James achieved another big milestone during Los Angeles Lakers’ fixture against the Philadelphia 76ers. Lakers defeated 76ers by 113-112, with this, LeBron also equalled Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become only the second player to surpass the milestone of 38000 career points. Playing in his 20th NBA season that year, LeBron James needed 11 points to achieve the historical feat and then went on to mid-range jumper in the first quarter to take the Lakers home. 

As of now, LeBron James is all-time leading scorer in the history of the NBA with 41,279 career points. The three-time Olympic champion continues to achieve new milestones in his NBA career every season. He is currently far ahead of the previous all-time scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who held the record with 38,387 points in regular season games.
