Majority of GTA 6 developers are Indians – 1615 involved so far

GTA 6, one of the most highly anticipated games in the world, is set to release in 2026. Rockstar Games is working hard to finish it for the launch. According to reports, all 10 Rockstar Games studios are working on the development of the game, with India leading in the number of developers. A total of 1,615 developers are working on the game.

According to the reports, all the 10 Rockstar Games studios, Rockstar New York, Rockstar North, Rockstar Lincoln, Rockstar Toronto, Rockstar San Diego, Rockstar Leeds, Rockstar London, Rockstar New England, Rockstar India, and Rockstar Dundee.

India leads the GTA 6 development with the highest number of developers, 1615 from Rockstar India. Rockstar North is in second with 1285 developers, followed by Rockstar Lincoln.

This shows the great skills of Indian developers to create highly anticipated games. Notably, Red Dead Redemption II, regarded as one of the best video games in the world, was also led by Indian developers, with the highest number, 1,300 developers from Rockstar India.

What is the new GTA 6 release date?

GTA 6, which was initially anticipated to launch in the Fall 2025 window, has now been delayed, and the new GTA 6 release date is 26 May 2026.
