Manchester City have been found guilty of violating more than 100 financial fair play rules of the Premier League as the hearing over the case ended. The hearing started on September 16 and after almost three months of heated debates about City’s financial proceedings over a period of 14 years, it came to an end in the previous week. The final verdict of the decision is expected to arrive soon as the three-member panel is currently considering evidence. Notably, the trial, which was staged at London’s International Dispute Resolution Centre, has been secretive.
It saw the club fight against over a hundred charges of breaching financial rules. The breaches include not providing accurate financial information about payments made to players and managers as well as breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). Not only this, but it also included the club's failure to comply with the league’s investigation into their activity.

While the final hearing of Manchester City is over but the outcome is expected to be out in February 2025. The three-member panel is reportedly taking time to work through the evidence which have been presented over the course of the last few weeks. It will be two years since the charges were first filed by the club. Notably, the club are battling against rules breaches which took place across a period of 14 years.
As per the case, the club has been engaged in rule violation from the 2009-10 season until February 2023, when the case was eventually brought into light. A total of 115 charges were originally revealed which later extended to a total of 130 charges due to an administrative issue.
