Amad Diallo, the Manchester United forward, who has grown in stature as a footballer over the past few months, is reportedly expected to get sidelined for the rest of the season due to an ankle ligament injury. The 22-year-old, who hails from Ivory Coast, sent out a message for the fans on his official Instagram account, stating that he is unfortunately going to miss out on action in Manchester United colours “for some time with an injury”, but at the same time, promising to “come back stronger than ever”.
Notably, in the ongoing Premier League 2024-25 season, Amad Diallo is currently the top-scorer for Manchester United with six goals in 22 matches, but at the same time, his number has been achieved in the last 14 appearances. He has already been ruled out of Ruben Amorim’s squad for Sunday’s clash against Tottenham in North London in the Premier League, with him set for a scan to assess the extent of his injury.
Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury: Amad Diallo
Last night, Amad Diallo posted an emotional message on his official Instagram account about his injury, while looking forward to making a swift comeback for Manchester United. He wrote, “Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season. Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury. I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for.”
As per the report published in ESPN, while it is understood that Amad Diallo will be out for the remainder of the season, the sources have stated that there is no certainty about his status right now. Currently, the best possible scenario for Manchester United could be that he misses out on competitive football for a few weeks rather than a few months, which will ensure that he stays around for the business end of the ongoing season.
