The Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 have been boasted by the joining of their Platinum category player, New Zealand’s Mark Chapman. The 30-year-old Kiwi international was initially roped in the drafts, but made himself unavailable for the initial stage of the tournament.

But ahead of the Gladiators’ match against the Karachi Kings, the New Zealand batter has joined the side in Pakistan. The left-handed batter not only priovided reinforcement in the setup, but also indulged in a training session, pictures of which were also shared on the franchise’s social media handles.

Mark Chapman joins Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2025

The update was shared by Quetta Gladiators’ team manager Azam Khan as he said, “Mark Chapman joined our squad this morning and will participate in today’s all-important training session.”“Chapman’s addition is a massive boost for us. He is someone who can absorb pressure and counterattack when needed—exactly what our middle order requires,” he further added.

It is to be noted that in absence of Chapman, the side brought in mystery spinner Ali Majid as his temporary replacement to bolster the spin attack. But with the Chapman’s return, he will join the likes of Finn Allen, Hasan Nawaz and Rilee Rossouw to strengthen their batting.

Speaking of the Gladiators campaign, the Saud Shakeel-led side are placed fifth in the PSL 2025 standings with one win and two losses in three matches. They will hope to overturn their recent results as they take on Karachi Kings on April 25 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
