Former Indian batting star Virender Sehwag ripped into shreds his former Indian Premier League franchise Punjab Kings for being responsible for his poor form. Sehwag, one of India's most destructive batters, showcased his big-hitting ability for the two franchises, Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, he played in the IPL.

He joined the Punjab-based franchise for just two seasons before retiring from all forms of cricket. Describing his time in PBKS during the side's IPL 2024 fixture against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Sehwag spoke about how his form went from bad to worse while playing for Punjab.

Mera game aur thoda kharab ho gaya: Sehwag

Speaking during the RCB vs PBKS game's Hindi commentary stream, Sehwag said,  "Jab mein Punjab mein gaya tab mera strike rate gir gaya. Woh kehte hai na ke jaisi sangati waisa behave karte ho. Toh waha ki sangati waisi hi thi. Jeet te the nahi, khel te acha the nahi, toh mera game aur thoda kharab ho gaya (When I went to Punjab, my strike rate went down. There's a saying you behave like your company. Same was the case. They did not win anything or played well).

Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Punjab Kings by four wickets

Talking about Punjab Kings' second IPL 2024 fixture, the  Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerged victorious thanks to quality knocks from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik. Batting first, the Kings posted a competitive total of 176 and bowled decently well in the second innings. But Kohli's 77 and a blistering 10-ball 28 by Karthik gave RCB their first win of the 2024 season.
