The MI New York team in Major League Cricket, USA recently announced their overseas picks ahead of the inaugural edition of the tournament. They revealed the names of the nine overseas picks, which stars some key international names. These names include the likes of Kieron Pollard, Rashid Khan and Kiwi quick Trent Boult to name a few.
Pollard has been a prominent face for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, featuring for 13 straight seasons only to be appointed as batting coach post his retirement. The other names include Dewald Brevis, Tim David, Jason Behrendorff, Kagiso Rabada and David Wiese. Out of the total nine players, everyone except Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada and David Wiese have represented Mumbai-based franchise in the IPL.
With the announcement of this lineup, MI New York are already being hailed as one of the favourites to win the inaugural edition of the MLC. These nine international stars, along with the nine local American players will make up the entire squad for MI New York.

In addition to this, while Kieron Pollard will lead the side in the inaugural edition, Lasith Malinga has been appointed the bowling coach.
