Special relationship between Mick Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel is hidden to none, and recently former ranked the latter among the best F1 drivers ever, alongside his father and legend Michael Schumacher. Notably, Michael Schumacher mentored Vettel when he joined F1, and the duo went on to become a close friend.

While Sebastian Vettel has already announced his retirement at the end of 2022 season, Mick Schumacher has ranked him among the legends of the sport. “He’s definitely up there for me. It might sound patriotic, but for me, he’s up there with my dad,” the former Haas driver said.

Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel and Mick Schumacher are set to team together once again at the Race of Champions in Sweden in January 2023.

The duo will attempt to again prove their mettle on the ice as they take on the RoC challenge for the third time. “I am thrilled that Mick will accompany me at the Race of Champions again – for my first race since I retired from F1. In Sweden earlier this year, there was a steep learning curve since neither of us had any expertise with snow and ice,” Vettel said.

The legendary driver further informed that he ended up surprising himself by beating Sebastien Loeb in the solo final. “Now I can’t wat to come back and partner up with Mick to see if we can lead Team Germany to another ROC Nations Cup victory,” Vettel added.

Speaking of both the drivers, midway into the 2022 season, Vettel announced that he would retire from the sport at the end of the season. The Abu Dhabi GP was his last race in the sports.

Meanwhile, the 23-year-old made his debut in F1 with Haas in 2021 but inconsistent performance made Haas to take the decision to not renew his contract. He lost his seat in F1, but signed up as a reserve driver for Mercedes, which may provide him with a pathway back into the grid in the near future.
