One of the biggest transfer speculations of recent times has finally come to an end and Liverpool fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief as their star winger Mohamed Salah is finally set to sign a new contract at the club, keeping him tied down for two more seasons. Mo Salah has been in electrifying form this season and is enjoying one of his best seasons with The Reds under new manager Arne Slot as he has netted 32 goals and provided 22 assists in 45 games so far. His numbers speak volumes about his brilliance at the club and with two more years added to his contract, Liverpool fans are rest assured that they are in safe hands.

In a video released by the club on their official X handle, Mo Salah can be seen talking about his journey so far and his desire to achieve ever more greatness at the club. He said, “I love being here… I’m enjoying my life here, enjoying my football… It’s a special moment always when we play in Anfield, there is no place like that… Every moment you score a goal and they sing my song, it’s something special.” And then speaking in his local Egyptian dialect, he said, “And the story will continue!”

Liverpool manager Arne Slot delighted with Salah’s contract extension

The news will also come as a big relief to Liverpool’s new manager Arne Slot, who has had a rather turbulent season. Although Liverpool seems on course to win their 20th Premier League title; which in itself is very big achievement for Slot being his first season in charge, Liverpool have slipped off in other competitions like the Champions League and Carabao Cup where they were rated highly by pundits to win silverware.

With such a high performer and key player like Mo Salah renewing his contract at the club, Slot will be confident of going on another brilliant run in the upcoming season to win even more accolades and bring further laurels to the club. Talking about Salah’s new contract Slot said, “If I’d put myself in the shoes of a player we might want to sign, it is always nice to tell them while presenting our project that Mo Salah has signed a new contract.”
