The IPL 2024 auction saw the Australian skipper Pat Cummins becoming the first player to breach the 20 Crore mark in IPL history, as he was bought by the SunRisers Hyderabad for a huge price of INR 20.5 crores. Pat Cummins in the earlier seasons was also picked by KKR for a price of INR 15.5 crores in the IPL 2020 auction. Apart from him, his compatriot Mitchell Starc became the most expensive player with an INR 24.75 crore bid by the Kolkata Knight Riders.
