Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) are the first team to qualify for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15 Playoffs. The history-making back-to-back league champions snagged two sets of wins in Week 4: Minggu Diraja (meaning "Royal Week" in Bahasa Malaysia) to take one step closer to defending their Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) crown at Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The top two teams from MPL Malaysia Season 15 will qualify for the Main Stage of the MSC at EWC 2025, where they will contend against 15 international teams for a slice of the USD 3,000,000 prize pool.

SRG could have earned qualification to the Playoffs with a clean 2-0 win over AERO Esports (AERO) on Day 1 (9 May). However, SRG had to delay their celebrations after the defending champions were stunned by AERO to lose the first game. While they eventually rallied to reverse sweep AERO 2-1, this marked the first time SRG had dropped a game this season; SRG came into the Royal Week with an immaculate eight games played and zero games lost. SRG sealed qualification on Day 3 (11 May) after dispatching JP Niners (JP) 2-0, with their Gold Laner, John "Innocent" Vincent Banal, securing his second Savage—where a player scores five enemy kills in quick succession—of the season after his heroics in the season opener. Innocent has three Savages in the league, the highest in MPL Malaysia history.

AERO's Week 4 loan transfer of Muhammad "Hazle" Praba Balakosa from RRQ Hoshi, one of MPL Indonesia's top teams, proved to be a masterstroke—the 18-year-old Jungler played a starring role to steal a point from SRG and secure a convincing victory over JP on Day 2 (11 May) to leapfrog his team into third place.

Homebois (HB) were the second team to bag a Playoffs slot after clean sweeps of Todak (TDK) and Team Vamos (VMS) in Week 4. HB's positive results this season had come against weaker opposition, so the Season 12 champion's convincing victories in Week 4—including against TDK, Malaysia's representatives at the International Esports Federation (IESF) World Esports Championship (WEC)—were strong statements of intent.

Their intent was clearly articulated by HB's Adam "Melqt" Hamidun during his interview after the VMS victory: their target for this season is to represent Malaysia in Riyadh at the MSC at EWC 2025. The Gold Laner has the highest Kill-Death-Assists (KDA) ratio and average Damage-Per-Minute (DPM) of all players this season; Melqt has a 15.8 KDA and 4,027 DPM versus Innocent's 9.1 KDA and 3,897 DPM.

At the end of Week 4, SRG and HB share the throne with 17 points apiece, with AERO close behind with 10 points.
