To accommodate this deal, MI sent Green to RCB in a similar cash transfer which brought back a sum of INR 17.5 crore to the Mumbai auction purse. The Australian all-rounder was MI Paltan's most expensive signing and had a great debut season in 2023. Green scored 452 runs at an average of 50.22 and a strike rate of 160.28.

He also smashed a century in Mumbai's final league game against the Surisers Hyderabad. With the ball, Green picked up six wickets in 16 matches at a 9.50 economy. Now Cameron Green will get a chance to showcase his all-around skills in a Royal Challengers Bangalore jersey.

The Bangalore-based franchise could comfortably afford to bring in Cameron Green as they had a purse of INR 40.75 Crore. RCB had a long list of released players which included  Wanindu Hasaranga,  Harshal Patel,  Josh Hazlewood,  Finn Allen,  Michael Bracewell,  David Willey,  Wayne Parnell,  Sonu Yadav,  Avinash Singh,  Siddharth Kaul and  Kedar Jadhav.
