Ahead of the highly-anticipated ODI World Cup 2023 semifinal clash between India and New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, the Mumbai Police received a threatening message on social media from an unidentified person. The person claimed that "a nefarious incident" would take place during the CWC 2023 semi-final clash.
The ANI reported Mumbai Police said, "An unidentified person posted a threat message to Mumbai Police on X (formerly Twitter) that a nefarious incident would be executed during the India vs New Zealand at Wankhede Stadium today. Strict vigilance is being done in the area around the stadium and nearby areas. The person had tagged Mumbai Police on his post and shown gun, hand grenades, and bullets in a photo."
Talking about the match, Team India are currently high on confidence with their nine wins in nine matches so far in the tournament while the Kiwis found their rhythm back with their skipper Kane Williamson getting fully fit ahead of the clash.
