If any NBA fanatics was to point out one optimistic scenario sprung for the Houston Rockets whilst the misery of the previous season, it was the rise of Kevin Porter Jr and Danuel Housr Jr. Both these players were able to show their calibre in leading the team against star-studded squads. Now if veterans like John Wall, Eric Gordon and D.J, Augustin were to play accordingly, the Rockets could definitely give them a chance to qualify for the playoffs or at least the play-in tournament in the 2021-22 NBA Season.
Weakness
The primary reason for the downfall of the Houston Rockets was marquee players consistently getting injured, leading the squad to a handful of players only. Especially when there were no fans allowed during the first half of the season, the players even felt more depleted to form. As a result, the team suffered from its longest losing streak. Moreover, with no guidance from the senior players, the youth in the Rockets were unable to find any source of motivation while playing under immense pressure.

Safe to say, that the Houston Rockets are surely not among the favourites to make a deep playoff run in the 2021-22 Season. However, with the addition of players like Daniel Theis, the ideal support-play could take place in the team. Furthermore, with experienced campaigners coming in, the team could rest their marquee players in order to channelize regular scoring in all quarters.
If coach, Stephen Silas is able to form and build a new-looking Houston Rockets in the most effective and appropriate way, there is no denying that this team has the potential to challenge any team on their day. But knowing that the off-season could make this team stronger or even among the weakest, the drama of the upcoming days remains to be seen as the countdown to the 2021-22 NBA Season has begun.
