It was recently reported that Bayern Munich were looking to off-load 28-year-old centre-back Kim Min Jae at the end of the current season. The South Korean defender has a deal till 2028 with the Bavarian giants, but it is now understood that he is not on the ‘untouchable’ list of manager Vincent Kompany and could be sold in the summer transfer window if a good offer arrives. While it was initially reported that a couple of Saudi Pro League clubs were looking to pounce on the opportunity and sign the towering centre-back, it is now understood that Kim has attracted interest from the Premier League as well.

Newcastle United is supposedly exploring an option to bring the defender on board as manager Eddie Howe will be looking to bolster his squad for the upcoming season, where Newcastle will most likely compete in the Champions League as well. The Magpies are known to splash out big money for transfers in recent times and therefore the financial angle of the deal should not be a road-block for the transfer. The potential transfer news comes a shocker for Bayern fans, who were big admirers of the South Korean player.

Bayern could win Bundesliga title next weekend with win over RB Leipzig

Bayern Munich are set to play RB Leipzig on the coming weekend in matchday 32 and they have a chance to seal the Bundesliga title on that occasion. Currently holding a 8-point lead over Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern can mathematically secure the German domestic league cup in their next game. It would a glorious moment for the manager Vincent Kompany, who is in his debut managerial season at Bayern.

As for the players, this would serve as a fitting farewell to Thomas Muller, who is set to leave the club at the end of the current season. Harry Kane is finally on course to break his trophy curse and win his first professional title but the comical part is that he is not part of Bayern’s squad against Leipzig as he is out due to suspension for accumulating too many yellow cards.
