Newcastle United have reportedly jumped in the conversation to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo in the summer transfer window after rumours of Manchester United being interested in him, to add strength and depth to their attacking prowess for the new campaign. It is understood that if the Magpies are able to move swiftly and agree the price with Brentford for the 25-year-old, then he could end up becoming their player for the next season.
As per the report published by The Telegraph, a fee of £50 million to £60 million could prove to be enough to sign Bryan Mbeumo from the Bees this summer, but to make the deal possible, Newcastle United are expected to be in a serious fight with Manchester United. Prior to departing from his post as the sporting director of Newcastle United, Paul Mitchell, wants to deliver at least one big signing to the club, and the Cameroon international could be it.
Newcastle United see Bryan Mbeumo as someone who could play alongside Alexander Isak
After making the UEFA Champions League next season by virtue of finishing fifth in the Premier League standings with 66 points, Newcastle United are looking to bolster their attacking ranks. The club sees Bryan Mbeumo as someone who could play alongside Alexander Isak in all competitions next season, especially when he had scored 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League matches for Brentford recently.
Bryan Mbeumo is known to play as a right winger and number nine for the Bees during his illustrious career at the club, which has the potential to work well along with Alexander Isak. The ability to cross, play through balls, take set-pieces, and assist fellow players is seen as something which will improve any team in attack, and it is the reason why he is not only wanted by Newcastle United and Manchester United, but also the other clubs in Europe.
