Paris Saint Germain were up against a struggling Saint-Etienne side in Ligue 1 on Sunday and it was expected to be an easy evening for them. However, things did not really go according to the plan for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

Denis Bouanga stunned PSG in the 23rd minute by scoring the first goal of the match for home side. The league leaders looked like going to half-time with a goal behind but Marquinhos' header at the stroke of break meant that it would be 1-1.

In the second half, Angel di Maria put PSG ahead with a goal in 79th minute before Marquinhos sealed the victory by scoring his second of the match in injury time. It was undoubtedly a very tricky contest and one of the major concerns for French giants was with what happened in the 84th minute of the match.

Huge injury blow for PSG

As Neymar was trying to dribble past the opposition players, Yvann Macon tried to stop him with a diving tackle. There wasn't much wrong with the slide but unfortunately for Neymar, he got his left-ankle twisted in a horrible manner during the follow-through.

The replays confirmed that it was quite an awkward twist for the Brazilian and his reaction summed up that he was in lot of pain. He was screaming as the medical team ran towards him to look after his injury.

There was no way that Neymar could have carried on after that ankle twist as he was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher, much to the worry of all the fans inside the stadium. The reactions of Neymar after falling down speak volumes about the kind of pain he was feeling at that time.

He was literally in tears while lying on ground and fans are wishing and praying for the speedy recovery of the talented footballer.

The only major positive for the PSG fans from the match would be the heroic display by Lionel Messi, who registered a fantastic hat-trick of assists and showed his magic after enduring a tough start at his new club.
