Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios dropped a major hint regarding his potential doubles pair with Serbia’s Novak Djokovic at Brisbane International in 2025. Set to make his much-awaited return on the tennis field after two years, Kygrios shared a post on his social media along with Djokovic from the 2022 Wimbledon final with a caption "Doubles at Brisbane. See y'all there.”

The Brisbane International is scheduled to take place December 29, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and will serve as a key lead up for the Australian Open next year. Both Nick Kygrios and Novak Djokovic have confirmed that they will take part in the single event of the Brisbane International. However, both the players potentially teaming up for the double came as a surprise for the fans.

Nick Kyrgios to make return after struggling with injuries for two years

Nick Kygios suffered several injuries on wrist and knee after his memorable season in 2022 and had to undergo three surgeries. Now, the 29-year-old is set to return to  tennis court in Brisbane where he has previously won the singles’s tournament once. With this, he will also look to test his form ahead of the Australian Open. He will be also looking to make a winning pair with Novak Djokovic and win the doubles title this time.

Nick Kyrigos has also previously hinted that he might not continue to play after 2025.  “It’s my home tournament. I’ve had some great memories here – obviously last year winning the title in doubles and playing the best tennis of my life, probably. Then going into this event as one of the favourites, it’s brutal.” Kyrgios said in a report by Essentially Sports.
