After lifting their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title on Tuesday, June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru are back in their city, hoping to give everything in form of a grand celebration. As confirmed by the franchise earlier in the day on June 4 of the open bus parade, it now stands cancelled.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Bengaluru-based franchise took to their social media handles and confirmed that the bus parade will commence from Vidhana Soudha and extend till the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, starting from 3:30 pm IST. The distance is set to be some 1.4 km in the heart of Bengaluru.

But as per the latest update, the victory parade stands cancelled whereas the felicitation ceremony will be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. Taking to X, the Bengaluru Traffic Police wrote, “Due to felicitation function for RCB team at Chinnaswamy Stadium from 5 PM to 6 PM public are advised to avoid roads surrounding Vidhna Soudha and Chinnaswamy Stadium from 3 PM to 8 PM.”

They also added, “There will be NO victory parade due to limited parking, public are advised to use Metro and other public transport.”

Elaborate security measures have been placed to ensure a smooth celebrations. This also includes the deployment of three Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), nine Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), 12 inspectors, and dedicated traffic police personnel to manage the crowd and traffic flow.
