The 2023 ODI World Cup is in line and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is gearing up to host the event later this year in October. While all teams are line to participate in the 50-over World Cup, Pakistan is still waiting on the decision of the Asia Cup 2023 to confirm their participation in the ODI WC.


However, in a big update it has been reported that the Men in Green will play in India in the ODI World Cup 2023. This comes after the BCCI assured to give visa clearance to the Pakistan team.  As reported by ESPNcricinfo, the Indian board assured  the ICC that visa will be cleared by the Indian government for the Pakistan contingent. A journalist by the username CricketMAN2 also shared this update.

The two cricketing nations haven’t locked horns in a bilateral  series post the 2008 Mumbai attack. However, the two sides continuously  face each other in the ICC events and the Asia Cup.


Talking about the Asia Cup which scheduled to take place in September-October window, the two nations are in crosshairs with Pakistan hosting the tournament and India’s participation. However, the BCCI has made clear that the side will not travel to Pakistan and are eyeing to shift the tournament to a neutral venue.
