Two-time Olympic medallist Sushil Kumar was shifted from Mandoli jail to Tihar on Friday. Notably, Sushil was arrested in connection with the murder of wrestler Sagar Dhankar, who was beaten to death in a violent clash of two groups inside the Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi.
Meanwhile, sources also confirmed that special security arrangements were made and police personnel were stationed near Sushil's barrack round the clock.

Even though Sushil Kumar is now a murder accused, his popularity seems to be intact. Delhi Police took selfies with the famous international player and now their photos are getting viral on social media. While many hailed Sushil's stardom, others lashed out at the Delhi Police for their actions.

Delhi Court dismisses plea by Sushil for special food in jail
Earlier, a Delhi court had dismissed a plea by the accused for special food in prison, including health supplements containing protein, Omega-3 capsules, jointment capsules, Pre-workout C4, Hyde, Multivitamin GNC and exercise bands as he aimed at continuing his wrestling career.
Notably on May 4, Sagar Dhankar, who had participated in the 97-kg Greco-Roman category, was beaten to death. It is alleged that Sushil and his associates assaulted Dhankar and two of his friends – Sonu Mahal and Amit Kumar- over a property dispute.
As per police officials, Dhankar and his friends were staying in a house linked to Kumar near the stadium in Model Town area and had been asked to vacate. This had led to clash on May 4 night and after Sushil came to know that Sagar had succumbed to his injuries, he came to meet his old associate and left Delhi.
