After getting eliminated from the 2024 NBA Playoffs against the defending champions, Denver Nuggets, in the Western Conference Round 1, Lakers star forward LeBron James is currently spending time with his family and speculations have been made over his future with the franchise. However, James, who has been active on social media, recently sent out a tweet praising one of the greatest NBA players Larry Bird.

Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird erupted for 60 points on 61% shooting from the field against the Atlanta Hawks on March 12, 1985, leaving the Hawks bench stunned. Bird's career-high scoring game against Dominique Wilkins and Eddie Johnson's Hawks went down as a historic achievement and the 20-time NBA All-Star responded to a throwback video of Bird's 60-point game.

The four-time NBA champion, LeBron, took to X and tweeted, "Man just look at the Hawks bench from the 1:30 mark and on! Larry Legend was SOOOOOOOOO DAMN NICE! One of them 🐐’s"

Dan Hurley, and JJ Reddick emerge as top prospects to take Lakers coaching

After the Lakers' first-round exit, the franchise parted ways with head coach Darwin Ham, and many former and legendary coaches are linked with the Lakers' coaching role. UConn men’s basketball coach Dan Hurley and former player and current sports analyst JJ Reddick emerged as the two prime prospects to become the Lakers' new head coach.

NBA insider for The Athletic, Shams Charania earlier reported that the Los Angeles Lakers are "zeroing in on JJ Redick as the frontrunner for the franchise’s next head coach." However, a day later, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Lakers are preparing a massive, long-term deal for Dan Hurley as the UConn coach and the Purple and Gold franchise will be meeting on Friday in California.
