Paris Saint Germain have been dealt a recent scare as reports have come out suggesting that PSG’s primary winger Ousmane Dembele has picked up an injury. Dembele is said to have injured his right hamstring, with a muscle strain in the concerned area. The news comes before an extremely important fixture PSG have in the coming week against Arsenal. The two European heavyweights will go head-to-head in the Champions League semi-final second leg in order to secure a spot in the final of the prestigious competition.

PSG already have a 1-0 lead over Arsenal from the first leg match at the Emirates Stadium, thanks to a first-time finish from Ousmane Dembele. However, the French outfit fears losing out on their prolific winger for the all-important second leg. While the date of Dembele’s return is not confirmed yet, club reports have indicated that his recovery is progressing in the right direction and they are optimistic about his return in time for the Arsenal game.

Dembele has staggering 45 G/A in 45 games so far

Dembele’s potential absence from the Arsenal game would be a potential blow to Luis Enrique as he will look to field his best playing XI in order to secure a win. However, PSG boasts an incredible squad depth this season and have some extremely talented names like Bradly Barcola and Desire Doue to fill in Dembele’s potential void. Regardless, Dembele’s influence on the team and his fine form this season cannot be undermined.
