It wasn't the Saturday afternoon that Chennai Super Kings were looking forward to. While they had a victory on their minds trying to search for their maiden win in IPL 2022, the Chennai fans left disappointed as the Men in Yellow succumbed to their fourth loss in a row making their Playoff journey very difficult from here.
After losing the toss, Chennai made 154/7 which looked like a good score on the surface. Moeen Ali top-scored for CSK with 48 and Ravindra Jadeja provided the impetus lower down the order with a brisk 23. However, Abhishek Sharma's 75 off 50 was too good for the Chennai team and they eventually lost in 17.4 overs by 8 wickets.
