After a couple of setbacks on the past few days, India once again raised their medal hopes with grappler Vinesh Phogat cruising past her opponents to enter the semi-final of women’s 50kg freestyle event. Phogat will next take on Yusneylys Guzman Lopez of Cuba in the semi-final later on Tuesday. On the other hand, Neeraj Chopra continued his dominance in the Olympics after he threw a 89.34m to qualify for the final of men’s javelin throw.
On Day 12 of the Paris 2024, India will hope to get some going in the Games as the Indian athletes, including the likes of Priyanka Goswami, Jyothi Yarraji, Annu Rani, Abdulla Aboobacker take the track for their respective events. Antim Panghal will also be seen in action on Wednesday, August 7.
